Things I’ve learned about Italy (and myself) while in Italy (Part 1)

  • Camp in Venice! Venezia Village is lovely.

  • Don’t camp in Rome!

  • Italian drivers are 100000% more hectic than New York drivers ESPECIALLY in Naples

  • Italians are used to erratic behavior and expect the unexpected while driving, so do the unexpected with confidence

  • Naples and Napoli are the same place

  • Speedos are cute

  • Parts of Italy look like Baja

  • Visit St Peter’s Basilica and the Pantheon right before closing

  • Don’t subject yourself to the Vatican lines… (unless it’s February, apparently that’s the time to go!)

  • “Allora” is my favorite Italian word. The versatility! The tonation!

  • Italians do not drink milk in their coffee after midday

  • I (sometimes) like anchovies

  • Riccione is where Italians vacation

  • San Marino is a country

  • Canned tuna should be in more salads

  • The Dolomites are very steep and very beautiful

  • I should live in Florence
